You can explain your starting point simply
Tell the coordinator whether you are meeting Arabic letters for the first time, returning to reading after a break or looking for help with pronunciation. You do not need a formal assessment result to describe what you find difficult. A short example of what you can read gives the teacher something useful to discuss during a trial.
Separate reading, recitation and understanding goals
Noorani Qaida is a starting point for reading foundations. Quran Nazara focuses the discussion on supported reading, while the Tajweed guide explains how pronunciation feedback can be practised. Quran Translation and Arabic Language serve related but different understanding and language goals.
It is reasonable to have more than one aim, but trying to tackle every aim in the same lesson can make it hard to see progress. Ask which priority makes sense first and how the course will be adapted to your starting point. Do not assume a course title promises fluency or a fixed completion time.
Ask for feedback you can use independently
At the end of a lesson, try to name one skill you worked on and one thing to practise next. If an explanation is unclear, ask the teacher to demonstrate it differently. Written reminders, repeated listening and a small reading sample can support practice, but a pronunciation correction should be checked with a teacher rather than guessed from text.
Make a realistic practice agreement
Choose a small repeatable practice window around work, caring responsibilities and rest. Tell the teacher when a proposed assignment does not fit that routine so you can discuss an alternative. The illustrative first-month plan explains how to review a routine without promising the same progress for every adult.
Confirm the practical details
Discuss teaching language, available lesson times, the applicable package and rescheduling arrangements before enrolling. If you are booking from the USA or Australia, compare the date and local time in the planner. An online location page is not a claim that the teacher is physically based in your country.
