Single Arabic Letters (Mufradat)
Introduction to the 29 letters of the Arabic alphabet. Focus is placed on correct pronunciation, differentiating similar sounds, and mastering articulation points (Makharij).
- Mastering letter names and identification
- Pronouncing throat letters correctly
- Developing correct mouth shapes for heavy and light sounds
- Drills to build correct pronunciation foundation
Module 1 Objective
Accurately identify and articulate every Arabic letter in its isolated form.
Compound Letters (Murakkabat)
Learning how Arabic letters change shape when joined together. Students master identifying letters at the beginning, middle, and end of words.
- Recognizing initial, medial, and final letter shapes
- Understanding connected letter combinations
- Interactive matching drills for kids
- Smooth transition from single shapes to joined words
Module 2 Objective
Read connected letters within composite words without hesitation.
Vowels and Movements (Harakat & Tanween)
Introduction to sound movements: Fathah (a), Kasrah (i), and Dammah (u), as well as Tanween (double vowels / an, in, un). This sets up reading vocabulary.
- Applying Fathah, Kasrah, and Dammah movements
- Differentiating short vowels from silent shapes
- Pronouncing Tanween sounds with correct nasalization
- Practice spelling exercises (Haji)
Module 3 Objective
Correctly pronounce words with short vowel sounds and Tanween markings.
Advanced Pronunciation & Long Vowels
Mastering long vowels (Madd rules), letters with Sakoon (resting state), and letters with Tashdeed (doubled emphasis). Introduces structural Tajweed rules.
- Prolonging vowels (Madd) for 2, 4, or 6 counts
- Echo sounds (Qalqalah rules) for resting letters
- Applying nasalization (Ghunnah) on doubled letters
- Pronouncing combined vowels and doubling rules
Module 4 Objective
Read complex vocabulary with vowel extensions, doubling, and pauses.
Fluency Practice & Short Surahs
Connecting all learned rules to read full sentences from the Quran. Students practice basic Tajweed rules and begin memorizing short daily Surahs.
- Reading multi-word sentences fluently
- Practicing proper stopping (Waqf) rules
- Memorizing short Surahs (Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, etc.)
- Learning the etiquette (Adab) of Quran recitation
Module 5 Objective
Transition smoothly from Noorani Qaida to reciting the Holy Quran directly.
